What currency is used in Malmö, and can I use credit cards?

The currency in Malmö, and all of Sweden, is the Swedish Krona (SEK). Sweden is largely a cashless society, so credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) are widely accepted everywhere, including public transport. Carrying a small amount of cash is advisable for emergencies, but card payments will be your primary method.
